City fields and ball diamonds are still not ready for action.
The city is asking residents to stay off the fields until they are officially open. Staff continues to monitor the fields and ball diamonds to make sure they are ready for extended play.

PRINCE GEORGE — It was built to be the Bank of Montreal in 1952 and was turned over to UNBC in 2005. But the university has been consolidating its downtown programming to the Wood Innovation and Design Centre. It means the former bank will need some tenants.

PRINCE GEORGE - City homeowners will soon have an option to accommodate new housing, with Council approving a city-wide change to the Official Community Plan, covering ten different zones. The changes would allow the construction of carriage houses or cottage houses on their properties.

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George residents have come out in support of bringing the 2020 Brier to the city. A campaign to sell ticket deposit packages topped the goal set by organizers over the weekend. There have been 2,332 deposit packages sold. That surpasses the goal of 2,020 packages.

QUESNEL — Quesnel Council has set the next stage for the development of an inter-connector route that would have Highway 97 heavy traffic diverted from the downtown. It recently got 84% approval from residents who attended two public open houses.
